Description:
Role requires 7+ years of relevant experience and expertise in enterprise database and linear referencing specific to datasets of this type including advanced database reporting, creation and execution of QA/QC processes and enterprise database query.

NCDIT-Transportation (NCDIT-T) GIS Team is seeking a Specialist – Expert that will support the long-term maintenance and enterprise integration of the NCDOT Hydrography Layer, a critical GIS dataset compiled by the NCDOT Environmental Analysis Unit over the past five years. The dataset has reached a maturity level requiring migration into the Enterprise GIS environment and ongoing operation support until ownership transitions to NC Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ).

The primary focus is to support the geometry, event and attribute changes to the GIS data with additional responsibilities of data QA/QC, progress reporting, direct SQL Server Database query, and Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL) process creation and maintenance during this period of management.
The complexity of these responsibilities are essential to ensure accurate, stable, and reliable management of the Hydrography Layer within the enterprise environment.
