NCDIT-Transportation (NCDIT-T) GIS Team is seeking a Specialist – Junior, that will support the long-term maintenance and enterprise integration of the NCDOT Hydrography Layer, a critical GIS dataset compiled by the NCDOT Environmental Analysis Unit over the past five years. The dataset has reached a maturity level requiring migration into the Enterprise GIS environment and ongoing operation support until ownership transitions to NC Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ).
The primary focus is to support data migration, bulk and individual updates, QA/QC, cartography, and Linear Referencing System (LRS) tasks.
The complexity of these responsibilities are essential to ensure accurate, stable, and reliable management of the Hydrography Layer within the enterprise environment.
