The NCDHHS Data Office is seeking a Senior Tableau Developer to develop impactful data visualizations in Tableau to support COVID-19 response. This is an end-user and business-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with stakeholders.
This is an end-user and business-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various end-users. This candidate will be a member of the NCDHHS Data Office.
Key Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with business owners, end users, and other stakeholders to identify needs and goals and work collaboratively to design and build dashboards.
·Orient new users to Tableau features and capabilities.
·Advise on visualization best practices and performance optimization strategies and collaborate to design impactful dashboards and reports.
·Perform development activities from gathering requirements and designing solutions, through developing code/reports, to testing and release/deployment.
·Perform administrative and support activities across a multi-environment Tableau infrastructure including security administration, release management, troubleshooting, and general systems maintenance.
·Develop Tableau Prep workflows for data cleaning, transformation, aggregation, etc.
·Identify and perform root-cause analysis of data irregularities and present findings and proposed solutions to leadership and/or customers
·Manage multiple, variable tasks and data review processes with limited supervision within targeted timelines and thrive in a demanding, quickly changing environment
·Prefer experience with cloud-based infrastructures and data warehouses, like Amazon (AWS) Redshift.
