SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
THE SOUTH CAROLINA TECHNICAL COLLEGE SYSTEM IS SEEKING A PART-TIME TIME SOFTWARE ARCHITECT – GMS LACKS A STRUCTURED WAY TO CAPTURE DATA FOR NEXUS. WHEN SELECTING A GRANT FROM THE HEADER TOOLBAR USERS NAVIGATE THROUGH A LIST OF TRAINING PROVIDERS, THEN SELECT A PROVIDER TO VIEW A LIST OF COMPANIES, THEN SELECT A COMPANY TO VIEW A LIST OF PEOPLE (APPRENTICE, PRE-APPRENTICE, ETC.), AND FINALLY SELECT A PERSON TO VIEW A LIST OF REIMBURSEMENTS. HOWEVER, THIS FLOW IS NOT SUITABLE FOR COLLECTING DATA SUCH AS CAMPDATA (GOSCITECH), PROGRAMLEVELDATA, STEMDAYS, AND SIMILAR OBJECTS. TO ADDRESS THIS, WE NEED TO DEFINE A SERIES OF NEW PAGES AND A CONFIGURABLE (BY GRANT TYPE) APPLICATION FLOW THAT FACILITATES THE COLLECTION OF THESE NEW DATA TYPES.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: PROVIDE DAY-TO-DAY GUIDANCE TO THE INTERNAL DIVISIONS AND SIXTEEN TECHNICAL COLLEGES ON THE PROJECT STATED ABOVE AS WELL AS AUDITING AND DOCUMENTATION OF EVENTS AND PROCESSES.
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): 1. FIVE OR MORE YEARS SUPERVISING EXPERIENCE. 2. FIVE OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH S.C. GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIP PROCEDURES. 3. 2 OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH DIRECT INTERACTION WITH EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS.
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): 1. MOST BE EXPERIENCED WITH SC GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIP POLICIES AND PROCEDURES 2. INTIMATE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SCTCS GRANTS MANAGEMENT APPLICATION; 3. COMMUNICATION; 4. PLANNING WITH EMPHASIS ON MEETING THE ESTABLISH TIMELINE.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: BACHELOR’S DEGREE AND TWO (2) YEARS’ EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD.
