Description:
This full-time position will be assigned to the Department of Information Technology/GDAC/Health Information Exchange Authority and will work under the HIEA Business Relations Manager. This position has the responsibility for planning, directing and implementing large scale health care information technology projects and ensuring they are successful from a schedule, budget, quality and implementation perspective. Typical projects involve an implementation impacting the Medicaid provider community. The implementations have extensive visibility and significant political, monetary, and health care delivery impacts. The Medicaid projects managed are typically medium to high risk, medium – high complexity, and project portfolio budget exceeding 10M annually along with multi-million-dollar federal grants. This position provides technical and business expertise to ensure projects are properly planned, appropriately monitored and managed, performed in accordance with DIT standards and practices, and are completed on-time, within budget, with the desired quality, and providing the expected technical capabilities and business benefits or results. This position functions as the Business Relations Medicaid project manager.
