Part-time Remote z/OS DB2 Admin with SQL, Unemployment Insurance, upgrades/migrations and Software AG (SAG) Natural programming experience
Location: Austin TX (TWC)
Duration: 7 months (20-30 hrs/week max: 900 hours)
*This position is part-time, 20 to 30 hours a week, and is suitable for working remotely within the United States.
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
15Experience supporting DB2 in a z/OS environment.
15Experience tuning SQL.
15Experience supporting applications specific to TWC. (Unemployment Insurance, WorkInTexas)
10Experience in supporting z/OS DB2 upgrades and migrations.
10Experience supporting DB2 in conjunction with the SAG Natural programming language.
5Experience working with DSTS DB2 support team.
5Demonstrated ability to work independently.
5 Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5Demonstrated ability to multi task and handle multiple concurrent assignments.
Work with the TWC z/OS DB2 team supporting the agency’s DB2 environment. Assist development teams with SQL and application performance tuning. Guide and manage DBMS and tools upgrades. Support decommissioning of agency legacy systems as they are re-engineered and modernized. Assist with general z/OS DB2 activities. Work is performed under limited supervision of Database Administration Manager with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment within the parameters of established policies and procedures.
