Experience in relational database administration, tools, and related activities. Required 5 Years
Knowledge of the fundamental principles, theories, techniques, and methodologies of data processing systems analysis. Required 5 Years
Knowledge of computer programming, data modeling, and object oriented programming procedures, techniques and applicable tools. Required 5 Years

This Oracle/SQL Database Administration position supports the Department of Treasury’s Oracle and SQL Server databases. This database administration position supports the future implementation and conversion to new database technologies that have statewide impact on the Department of Treasury. This position is the expert on database performance tuning: – identifying and solving minor and major bugs, and issues on a twenty-four by seven basis; providing ongoing productions support regarding creating database objects. In addition this position works with developers and others to support their ability to use the data to further the interests of the agencies. This includes data cleanup, conversions, running scripts, synchronizing versions, database upgrades and providing expertise in Structure Query Language (SQL) and Procedure Language/ Structure Query Language (PL/SQL) coding to other agency Information Technology (IT) staff.
