NCDST is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the creation of DevOps automations and processes for our entire agency as time permits, but the primary focus is the migration of the ORBIT system to the cloud and then its maintenance once there.

The North Carolina Department of the State Treasurer is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the creation of DevOps automations and establish the processes involved in the migration of vital web applications to the cloud and then maintenance and production support of all DevOps related activities once those web applications have been migrated up to the cloud.
You will help select/design an appropriate code branching strategy. You will help guide the transition from on-premise to cloud from the very early stages. You will create pipelines to build and deploy .Net projects to Azure. You will define and provide ongoing maintenance and improvements to the new SDLC processes going forward.
Excellent communication skills are as important as technical acumen to this role.
