ABOUT THE ROLE
VDACS is looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL developer to write procedures, packages, functions, and SQL to perform ETL, data migration, and reporting functions.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS /EXPERIENCE
Required:
-Substantial experience as a PL/SQL Developer in an Oracle 12 database environment
-Experience defining Oracle database objects such as tables, triggers, indexes, and other objects using Oracle PL/SQL DDL
-Substantial experience developing Oracle PL/SQL Procedures to perform ETL to reporting data mart tables
-Substantial experience writing data migration stored procedures to move data from legacy tables and data structures into new application data structures
-Experience doing performance tuning of PL/SQL queries and stored procedures
-Experience building efficient and well documented Oracle procedures, functions, and packages
Preferred:
-Experience implementing error handling and logging in PL/SQL scripts
-Experience developing and testing Oracle Forms and Reports applications
DAY TO DAY
-Perform data migration programming to migrate data from previous Oracle application tables into new Oracle tables for a new .Net application under development
-Develop ETL procedures to take data from transactional tables and load into reporting tables for frequent refresh to support efficient use of business data
-Write stored procedures to support reporting and other data query needs
-Perform data updates for Oracle applications as needed
