Local/Remote BMC Helix System Analyst with CMDB, APM, ALM, ITIL, and healthcare experience

Location: Austin TX (HHSC)
Duration: 4-5 months
Positions: 4/2
The primary work location will be mostly remote. Occasional visits to the Winters Building at 701 West 51st, Austin, Texas, 78751. May be required for picking up / repairing equipment or special meetings at candidate expense.

Minimum Requirements:
5RequiredExperience in Systems Analysis, including investigation and analysis, knowledge of multiple technology stacks, and technical attributes of systems.
2RequiredExperience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Configuration Items (CIs), and Configuration Item Attributes.
2RequiredExperience with Application Portfolio Management (APM), Application Rationalization, Application Life Cycles, and Application Attributes.
1RequiredUnderstanding of ITIL Guiding Principles and Practices
5PreferredExperience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Configuration Items (CIs), and Configuration Item Attributes.
5PreferredExperience with Application Portfolio Management (APM), Application Rationalization, Application Life Cycles, and Application Attributes.
3PreferredWork within the State of Texas (especially HHSC) technology environments.
1PreferredITIL Foundation Certification (V3 2011 or V4)

The CMDB replacement project needs 4 staff augmentation Systems Analyst 2s (1 for 5 months, 3 for 4 months) to assist with technical systems data collection efforts on the 500+ systems currently in the agency’s current systems catalog, SysCat. This one-time effort includes gathering, tracking, analyzing, distributing, and possibly entering data into the new CMDB tool (BMC Helix) from the current SysCat tool.
