Hybrid/Local .Net Application Architect with TFVC, Git, Low Code/No Code/MS Power platforms experience
Location: St Paul MN (DOC) Current residence within a reasonable driving distance of St. Paul MN
Duration: 12 months
The work is expected to be done as hybrid: working remotely and on-site.
Minimum Qualifications
• Five (5) years’ experience in an Application Architect role
o A Master’s degree substitutes for three years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree substitutes for two years, or an Associate’s degree substitutes for one year
• Two (2) engagements lasting more than six (6) months in an Application Architect role
Desired Skills
• Criminal Justice Experience
• Experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle
• Full stack .Net Application Development experience
• Knowledge of TFVC and Git version control software and an understanding of branching policies
• Knowledge & Understanding of Low CodeNo Code platforms like Microsoft Power Platform
• Current residence within a reasonable driving distance of St. Paul MN
Sample Tasks
• Update MNIT DOC’s Application Development Roadmap Document
• Design new Application Development projects according to MNIT DOC’s processes and guidelines
• Work on continuous improvement of Application Development processes and procedures
• Lead developers in the adoption of new processes and procedures
• Work on improvement of MNIT DOC’s Development project template
• Provide knowledge transfer
Description of Project
The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT) partnering with The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking one full-time resource, an Application Architect, to help plan the future direction of its development practice, help define current development efforts, and work on some continuous improvement projects to the developer processes.
Resource Need
This request is for one full-time staff augmentation resource. Each vendor is allowed to submit one resource for consideration.
