Hybrid/Local Lead Network Engineer (15+) with Cisco VoIP (must), voice/video, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, ThousandEyes/AppDynamics, Secure Workload/NGFW/identity services experience

Skills:
7 Required Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience performing supervisory/management work including providing clear direction to subordinates; promoting teamwork and motivating others to accomplish goals.
7 Preferred Minimum of seven (7) years’ of experience with administration, maintenance, and design of Cisco VoIP solutions is required.
5 Preferred Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing a networking team in a highly complex environment.
5 Preferred Experienced with implementation and support of 24x7x365 network, voice, and video environment.
Description:
• Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations, including WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms
• Oversee daily operational activities, including incident management, problem resolution, and service availability
• Serve as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues
• Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams, including infrastructure and security-focused functions
• Support ongoing and planned initiatives, including:
SD-WAN implementation and optimization
Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppDynamics)
Security integrations (e.g., Secure Workload, NGFW, identity services)
• Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts
• Ensure compliance with Agency security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center, Telecom, and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives
• Provide status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning to leadership
• Maintain documentation of network architecture, processes, and operational procedures
• Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager
