Requirements:
Must have bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering
Must have 10 years of Enterprise Software development experience. Having TOGAF certification is great plus.
Must have 10 years of Strong Enterprise Architecture Design with SOA, Distributed System Design
Must have experience on Cloud Native application technologies. – micro-services, serverless etc.
Must Have experience in managing the delivery of complex software projects
Must Have strong software architecture and design skills in Java programming including, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, Spring-Boot, Spring Integration, JDBC, JEE.
Must Have extensive experience in modeling and implementing API services using both SOAP and RESTful methodologies
Must Have strong presentation skills for presenting technology solutions to internal stakeholders and external partners
Must have experience with open source tools/frameworks like Camel, Service-Mesh, Spring Cloud tools
Have strong communication skills, both oral and written
Have experience with Agile software development practices and tools-Jira, confluence etc.
Have experience in RDBMS and NOSQL databases
Have experience in meta data driven ETL tools
Have experience in dependency management and build tools such as Gradle, Salt, Ansible
Have experience in UNIX, Linux & Shell scripting experience
Have experience in test automation using tools like Gherkin, Cucumber, Selenium
Have experience with XML Schemas and JSON
Have a strong familiarity with source code management and continuous integration/delivery processes and tools like SVN and Jenkins
Having MBA degree could be an advantage in business management
10+ years in payments or financial services technology
Experience architecting for web, phone, and mobile solutions
Strong understanding of modern architecture frameworks
Demonstrated interest and experience in payments experience
Knowledge of Open Banking, RTP and tokenized payments a plus

Job Description:
Senior Payments Architect will partner with the business product teams to plan, deliver, and iterate the strategic architecture of US Consumer Payments. Transformation of US Consumer Payments architecture is focused on
1) Ensuring near term scalability of existing payment modes and future proofing for emerging (3-5 years) payment modes,
2) Accelerating product and CX transformation to accelerate feature deployment and maximize personalization,
3) Enabling a modern product culture by driving effective tech and business partnership.
4) This role is focused on enabling customer payments experiences not transformation of a core payments engine.
Candidate will need to have experience with consumer payments (cards, P2P, B2C, FX, etc.), enabling market leading CX, running multi-year re-platforming programs, collaborating with business stakeholders, and have a track record of enabling innovation.

The Senior Payments Architect will:
Serve as primary advisor to bank’s leaders on the platform architecture
Enable the definition and implementation of reference architecture
Identify business and technology capabilities and enable them to be used across the payments landscape
Influence and implement client standards for architecture design
Work with IT Engineering Leaders and other Enterprise and Solution Architects to define the transformation change for the payment systems.
Assess current state architecture and eco-system and propose technical solution to align with required changes
Perform gap analysis from as-is state to to-be state, act as bridge between business and engineering teams
Apply best practices and principles of decoupled, Next Gen architecture that is scalable, reliable and highly available to address payment business SLAs and KPIs
