DCLS has been onsite the whole time. DGS returns to the office Sept 7 with minimal telework allowed, so this person will not be in the office alone. Must be willing to work on site from Day 1. Please confirm this with your candidate before submitting. Parking is not provided for contractors.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: DGS does not have a FTE opening right now but requested that anyone submitted be interested and eligible for hire AFTER 6 months. Salary conversion will be based on performance and state salary levels for similar roles. To be discussed after performance as contractor has been assessed.
DGS is seeking an experienced server engineer to assist in the daily management of the agency managed Windows and Linux based server, application and client resources.
• Management of day-to-day server and client operations.
• Experience installing, configuring and supporting Windows 10, Windows Server 2012, 2019 and associated software in both physical and VM environments
• Expertise in Cisco and/or Avaya Wireless LAN technologies
• Linux administration experience
• AWS configuration and administration experience
• Experience with R-Studio Enterprise
• Previous experiencing supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policy and RAS.
• Support of server based antivirus and network monitoring systems
• Experience in a laboratory and/or building automation environment
• Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues from client software/device through to ISP
• Experience with MS Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, Visio and Project. Must be able to prepare technical documentation using these and other tools.
• Strong presence, professional image, and ability to deal confidently with technical matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
