Job Description:
This person will be a part of a global team that manages core Microsoft infrastructure services for the firm. The Platform Operations team is responsible for the support and maintenance of the firm’s Microsoft infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and a number of related technologies that support the business. The person in this role must be able to work with other system administrators located regionally and around the globe. This person will work with colleagues on server builds, ongoing maintenance, and daily operational support of the environment. We are looking for an addition to the US regional team to provide operational support for this exciting and world-class environment.

Role Responsibility:
The role demands that the individual works well under pressure and can deliver towards tight deadlines. This role will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of core Microsoft services and related technologies. The Windows Server System Administrators are responsible for working with the Platform Operations team in the daily operations of an estate comprising over 3,000 servers and several supporting technologies.

Manage a ticket queue and be responsible for manning a hotline.
There are no after-hours on call requirements, but the individual will take part in a weekend rotation with the rest of the operations team to help provide coverage seven days a week.
Maintain server availability for all sites and periodically participate in DR exercises.
Must have good problem solving, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and provide operations support for bridge calls.
Monitor servers and remediate alerts that get raised.
Following documented processes and procedures is critical.
Good, clear communication is an absolute must.

Enterprise-level experience in many of the following areas:

Microsoft Windows Server
Microsoft Exchange
VMWare, ESXi/ESX, vSphere
Citrix: XenApp, XenDesktop, Netscaler
Microsoft Active Directory
Windows File Clusters/DFS
SCCM
SCOM

Candidate should have scripting/programing experience in at least one of the following languages:

PowerShell
Vb Script
VB/.NET
ASP.Net/C#
Perl/WMI

Additional experience:

Conceptual knowledge of storage and networking components
Server hardware (HPE & Dell)
Print Services (Ysoft or comparable product is a plus)
Security and performance monitoring and analysis
Cloud experience is a plus
