Web/UI Developer with Tableau, UI/HTML/CSS/JavaScript, REST services, GIS/WebGIS, Java/Python, AWS, HIPAA Security (must), ICD/CPT/HCPCS coding, postgresql and healthcare experience

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
• Proven web development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
• Ability to quickly learn new applications.
• Stays abreast of emerging design features.
• Ability to manipulate code efficiently using an IDE or advanced text editor.
• Experience with software documentation (creation and maintenance).
• Experience working with APIs and REST services.
• Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems & Object Oriented Programming concepts.
• Perform UI designs and coding, creating reusable objects and templates, wireframes for web pages and email templates; manage maintenance, updates, expansions, and scaling of each design.
• Maintain and expand/enhance the website once created.
• Ability to learn Tableau techniques quickly.
• Ability to create business intelligence reports and visualizations (2-4years).
• Experience with connecting to and working with large data sets (10M+ record data sets, 10k+ data points to visualize).
• Implementing data level security.
• Proficiency developing and updating technical documentation and training materials for client business stakeholders to serve as reference.
• Confer with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria and choose solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities & deliverables in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment.
• Superior organizational, problem solving, and analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
• Experience with Tableau dashboard design.
• Proficient knowledge of Tableau to create business intelligence reports and visualizations (2-4years).
• Experience with connecting to and working with large data sets in Tableau (10M+ record data sets, 10k+ data points to visualize).
• Experience with GIS software and WebGIS.
• Backend development experience with Java and/or Python.
• Graphic design.
• AWS cloud experience.
• Knowledge of public health and healthcare concepts and methods.
• Experience working with health-related datasets (Medicaid/Medicare, hospitalizations, births, cancer, etc.).
REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field AND at least 2 years of experience in web/dashboard development across multiple platforms

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
This position will join the Data Science and Visualization (DataViz) team at IFS. This position will use Tableau, Material Design, JavaScript, and other products/software to create internal dashboards and external web products for the IFS.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build interactive dashboards with parameterized views and dimensional drill downs.
• Design and develop Tableau dashboards templates that provide standardization of views with flexibility in data structures.
• Document dashboard design, data sources, and report logic.
• Manipulate staged data sets to provide flexibility in visual design.
• Provide guidance and expertise in dashboard design principles and best practices.
• Work with more senior members of project teams to synthesize and translate instructional and business data needs into creative visualizations and tools.
• Assist in development, maintenance and management of advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions primarily using Tableau.
• Develop and document processes used in data flow automation and product management.
