WCAG Automation Tester with accessibility/508, JAWS, PeopleSoft, WAI-ARIA, HTML5, NVDA, SortSite/PowerMapper, WAVE and government experience

Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
3Extensive hands-on experience in quality assurance for automation testing for various applications, websites and documents
2Experience with testing for accessibility in accordance with WCAG 2.0 AA and the Section 508 standards
2Experience using JAWS or other screen readers for accessibility to include WCAG 2.0 and 508 compliance testing
2Experience establishing, documenting and communicating standards, best practices, fixes for accessibility requirements
2Experience in scheduling and facilitating accessibility compliance testing with security protocols
1Experience testing and remediating electronic documents (PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for WCAG 2.0 AA and Section 508 compliance
1Experience with an editing tool for accessibility (like Acrobat Pro, PDF)

Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
1Experience testing with implementations and/or upgrades on PeopleSoft applications
1Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products
1Experience recommending solutions based on WAI-ARIA and HTML5 attributes
1Experience setting up and configuring test tools and assistive devices for testing
1Knowledge of HTML semantics/tagging, hyperlink integrity
1Experience using Assistive Technologies, such as screen reader software (NVDA) and/or using accessibility testing tools (SortSite by PowerMapper, WAVE)
1Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)

The Worker will be required to:
•assist with testing customer and technical applications for accessibility compliance for both new systems and after enhancements to existing systems
•assist with testing new development or enhancement/maintenance on various websites, applications and documents
•assist with scheduling and facilitating accessibility compliance testing
•assist with documenting accessibility testing results
•communicate results to technical employees and/or business/agency customers for remediation
•provide potential resolution or work-a-rounds for failed tests
•review remediation results to ensure documented issues have been adequately addressed
The Worker must provide training and knowledge transfer to staff members and business/agency customers in all aspects of software accessibility compliance.

The Worker may be required to:
•assist with the development of test cases and scenarios used to ensure new systems and enhancements to existing systems meet required accessibility standards
•communicate requirements and test cases to the testing team(s) to ensure thorough testing of all areas expected to meet accessibility standards
As a tester, the Worker will need to be familiar with PeopleSoft applications and must follow standard test case scenarios and implement new scenarios as working knowledge and functionality with the applications is gained.
