Job Description:
Experience with ESX Administrator can be looked upon to expand their responsibilities to patching that in environment as well.
Should be able to continuously path client’s “server estate”.
Should be able to push updates, configure changes, etc. which were not able to be resolved by just applying a vendor patch from Microsoft or VMWare.
Should be open to work on Weekends. Schedule can be flexible depending on client’s requirement
Role Responsibility:
This role will help ensure the firm remains compliant with its vulnerability remediation requirements. The individual will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and implementing patches and configuration changes relating to vulnerabilities for our ~3,500 Windows Servers. A Tuesday through Saturday schedule will be required for this position.
Receive vulnerability remediation requirements from the Vulnerability Remediation Planning Specialist team.
Schedule change tickets to implement the associated fix(es).
Communicate with application owners and stakeholders.
Implement and validate the changes.
Must have good problem solving, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and provide operations support for bridge calls.
Monitor servers and remediate alerts that get raised.
Following documented processes and procedures is critical.
Good, clear communication is an absolute must.
Experience:
Enterprise-level experience in many of the following areas:
Microsoft Windows Server
SCCM
SCOM
Citrix XenApp and/or XenDesktop
VMWare, ESXi/ESX, vSphere
Microsoft Exchange
Microsoft Active Directory
Windows File Clusters/DFS
Additional experience:
Conceptual knowledge of storage and networking components
Server hardware (HPE & Dell)
Experience with ESXi administration is a plus.
