Virginia State Police is looking for Programmer Analyst with 5-10+ years of experience needed with the following requirements.
To meet the requirements for a new law, VSP is looking for a Programmer Analyst who can quickly jump in to create an interim solution that needs to be running by 7/1/2020. Once that date is met, this person will be apart of them team who is implementing the long term solution.
Review, analyze and evaluates business system and user needs.
Perform gap analysis on existing state of requirements in conjunction with current business needs.
Elicit requirements using various elicitation techniques such as Brainstorming, Data Mining, Document Analysis, Interviews with users, risk analysis to produce requirement artifacts such as Field Definition Matrix, Business Rules, activity diagrams and Wireframes.
Participate in the review of current business processes and demonstrate improved processes.
Possess strong knowledge of VBA/macro programming and security best practices.
Using VBA security best practices, create solution with VBA/macro programming in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
Coordinate and provide end user training, solution, and training documentation.
Work closely with other Business Systems Analysts, Process Owners and Development Teams as required on projects and initiatives.
Possess strong organization, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Self motivated and able to develop rapport and positive working relationships with coworkers.
