Telecommunication System Analyst with PBX, IVR, VOIP migration and technical writing experience

Personnel Experience
A.Experience with PBX technologies, voice mail systems, call center as well as Interactive Voice Response (IVR) features and functionality. These skills will be required to support the ongoing operations of DoIT’s current systems, the migration to its VOIP platform, and in providing technical advice to other State agencies procuring voice solutions.
B. Experience establishing functional requirements for telecommunications systems.
C. Experience drafting solicitation documents, or as a technical writer in the telecommunications field.

Duties
A. Manage PBX maintenance at the remaining 26 PBX locations until such time as the clients have been transitioned to the VoIP platform.
B. Assist by supporting PORFP review and updates prior to issuance by the customer.
C. Assist in the retirement of the traditional digital PBX and peripherals once the systems have been decommissioned.
D. Assist with processing issues with the VoIP PBX and peripherals.

Background and Purpose
DoIT is responsible for managing and maintaining the State’s telecommunications platform at multi- agency locations. Many of the current Private Branch Exchanges (PBX) are traditional Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) PBXs which will be replaced over time by a new DoIT-hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) platform through a multi-year project to transition the existing clients to one of DoIT’s VoIP platforms.
