SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
DIS IS SEEKING A PROJECT MANAGER TO SUPPORT THE PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF A FAST-PACED INFORMATION SECURITY ASSESSMENT PROJECT ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA STATE AGENCIES. THIS PROJECT WILL FOCUS ON IDENTIFYING RISK AND MEASURING COMPLIANCE OF INFORMATION SECURITY PROJECTS AND SYSTEMS ACROSS THE STATE AS WELL AS PROVIDING REPORTING AND MONITORING INFORMATION TO ALL LEVELS OF STATE AGENCY LEADERSHIP.
THE PROJECT MANAGER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANNING, COORDINATION, REPORTING, AND ISSUE RESOLUTION ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROJECT. THE PROJECT MANAGER WILL INTERACT DIRECTLY WITH DIS LEADERSHIP AS WELL AS VENDOR TEAMS CONDUCTING THE ASSESSMENTS. THE PROJECT MANAGER WILL ENSURE THAT ALL DELIVERABLES ARE PROVIDED ON TIME AND ENSURE THEY SATISFY QUALITY STANDARDS.
THIS PROJECT INCLUDES:
• ASSESSMENT OF STATE-WIDE, SHARED OR COMMON SERVICES AND SECURITY CONTROLS PROVIDED TO AGENCIES
• ASSESSMENT OF AGENCY-OWNED SERVICES AND SECURITY CONTROLS AT EACH STATE AGENCY
• TRACKING PROGRESS AND RESOLVING ISSUES WITH EACH ASSESSMENT
• TRACKING, DOCUMENTING, AND REPORTING ASSESSMENT RESULTS AT THE AGENCY, SECTOR, STATE, OR OTHER STAKEHOLDER LEVEL FOR THE PROJECT
• GATHERING REQUIREMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROJECT IMPROVEMENT, INCLUDING
• DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING PROCESS AND PROCEDURE INFORMATION FOR THE ASSESSMENT PROJECT
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
• OVERALL COORDINATION, STATUS REPORTING AND STABILITY OF PROJECT ORIENTED WORK EFFORTS AND AUDIT AND ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES.
• ESTABLISHMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROCESSES AND METHODOLOGIES FOR OTIS TO ENSURE PROJECTS ARE DELIVERED ON TIME, WITHIN BUDGET, ADHERE TO HIGH QUALITY STANDARDS AND MEET CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS.
• ASSEMBLING PROJECT PLANS AND TEAM ASSIGNMENTS, DIRECTING AND MONITORING WORK EFFORTS ON A DAILY BASIS, IDENTIFYING RESOURCE NEEDS, PERFORMING QUALITY REVIEW; AND ESCALATING FUNCTIONAL, QUALITY, TIMELINE ISSUES APPROPRIATELY.
• ENSURING THAT ALL VENDOR-PRODUCED DELIVERABLES ARE OF ADEQUATE QUALITY AND MEET DIS REQUIREMENTS.
• TRACKING KEY ASSESSMENT MILESTONES AND ADJUSTING PROJECT PLANS AND/OR RESOURCES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CUSTOMERS.
• COORDINATING COMMUNICATION WITH ALL AREAS OF THE ENTERPRISE THAT IMPACTS THE SCOPE, BUDGET, RISK AND RESOURCES OF THE WORK EFFORT BEING MANAGED.
• ASSIST PROJECT MANAGER(S), AND RELATED STAFF IN PARTNERING WITH SENIOR MANAGEMENT OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY TO IDENTIFY AND PRIORITIZE OPPORTUNITIES FOR UTILIZING IT TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS OF THE ENTERPRISE.
• MUST POSSESS EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE IN THE USE OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS, RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES.
• TRACKING CONCURRENT ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES AND REPORTING EFFORTS.
• MANAGING ONE OR MORE CROSS-FUNCTIONAL AUDITS AND ASSESSMENTS OF MEDIUM TO HIGH COMPLEXITY.
• GATHERING INPUTS AND CONSTRUCTING REPORTING ON ASSESSMENT AND PROJECT PROGRESS AND ISSUES.
• COORDINATE CROSS-PROJECT ACTIVITIES
• FORMULATE, ORGANIZE AND MONITOR INTER-CONNECTED PROJECTS AND ASSESSMENTS
• MONITOR AND SUPPORT DEADLINES, BUDGETS AND ACTIVITIES
• APPLY CHANGE, RISK AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
• COLLABORATING WITH AGENCIES TO PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS
• DOCUMENT ALL MEETINGS ATTENDED, DIRECTIVES, AND SIGNIFICANT PHONE CONVERSATIONS.
• DEVELOP AND DELIVER PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL PROJECT UPDATES TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT AND PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS.
• COMMUNICATES WITH IT LEADERSHIP, BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AND RELATED STAFF TO COMMUNICATE PROJECT STRATEGY, DIRECTION AND CHANGES.
