The position is preferred to work in the house however the employee will have the option of 100 percent remote work.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
• At least 5 years of documented experience developing enterprise-level
websites.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries like React, Vue, or
Angular.
• Experience working with back-end technologies like Node.js, PHP, or Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code and follow coding standards.
• Knowledge of database technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, or
PostgreSQL.
• Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN.
• Familiarity with responsive design and mobile-first development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The Web Developer will serve the Division of Information Technology in overseeing the redesign of the DMS website and convert the 5 existing websites as outlined in section
2.0 from eZ Publish to WordPress in a efficient manner, ensuring that all content and
functionality are retained and optimized for the new platform. The Web Developer is responsible for the following tasks.
• Website Assessment: A comprehensive analysis of each website will be conducted to identify the existing design, content structure, and functionality of the website, as well as the requirements and goals of the client.
• Content Migration: All content, including pages, posts, images, and other media, will be migrated from eZ Publish to WordPress.
• Functionality Conversion: All existing functionality of the website, including forms, plugins, and third-party integrations, will be evaluated and converted to WordPress-compatible solutions.
• Theme Design and Development: A custom WordPress theme will be designed and developed to match the existing design and branding of the website, ensuring a seamless transition to the new platform.
• Plugin Installation and Configuration: All necessary WordPress plugins will be installed and configured to ensure the website functions as intended and all client requirements are met.
• Quality Assurance: A comprehensive quality assurance testing process will be conducted to ensure that the website is error-free, functions correctly, and meets all client requirements.
• Deployment: The migrated and rebuilt website will be deployed on the client’s chosen hosting environment.
Deliverables: The following deliverables will be provided to the client:
• A comprehensive website assessment report.
• A content migration report.
• A functionality conversion report.
• A custom, modern WordPress theme.
• A detailed list of installed and configured WordPress plugins.
• A comprehensive quality assurance report.
• Detailed training to the department’s web support team on managing and
maintaining the websites.
• A deployed test and production website for each of the websites outlined in section 2.0.
