REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Experience with testing digital environments for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
A deep understanding of WCAG, Section 508 and applicable ADA laws.
Experience with manual testing using assistive technology (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Magnification software, Speech to text software).
Experiencing building test cases and user cases.
Experience with Universal Design Principles.
Experience developing and administering training materials related to Digital Accessibility best practices.

PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
5+ years of experience testing for and remediating Digital Accessibility issues.
3+ years of experience with training individuals on WCAG 2.0 or 2.1 guidelines
Working with metrics formation, delivery, and monitoring.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
BACHELORS DEGREE AND 5+ YEAR’S EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENCY

Scope of the Project:
Responsibility for assisting with ascertaining the overall compliance state of the University. This will include audits of existing digital properties, remediation assistance, helping with continual training development, sitting on the Digital Accessibility committee, and reporting on metrics.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Auditing existing digital properties (websites and software) that are hosted or used by the University of South Carolina, creating and maintaining a long term remediation plan with the assistance of the Director of Digital Accessibility, and contributing to the continued development of training materials to be hosted on the Digital Accessibility website.
