Skills:
Design and Development of MS Power Platform to include Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Share point Online, and Teams. Required 3 Years
Experience with SharePoint Online configuration through the web UI. Required 3 Years
SharePoint Online site administration, governance, search, and security. Required 3 Years
Capable of supporting business/citizen developers via training, documentation, and hands-on guidance. Required 3 Years
Customizing web parts and web part pages; creating sites, document libraries, lists, and views; search and taxonomies; Office/InfoPath integration; Required 3 Years
Ability to elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, etc. Required 3 Years
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Required 5 Years
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required 5 Years
Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio Required 5 Years

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Information Technology Division is seeking an IT Systems Analyst. The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in Microsoft’s PowerPlatform, including PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Teams, and SharePoint Online.

Responsibilities:

• Aid in the analysis, requirements gathering, design, configuration, implementation, testing, and support of Microsoft PowerPlatform solutions.
• Develop PowerPlatform solutions for the IT Division, and assist citizen developers in creating and maintaining their own solutions using the platform based on their business needs.
• Provide comprehensive support and training to the PowerPlatform user community at VDOT and assist in facilitating low/no-code technology adoption within the agency.
• Adhere to best practices when implementing business solutions and define/refine a governance approach for the platform’s use at VDOT.
• Develop and disseminate documentation (requirements, recommendations, technical analysis, etc.) on platform usage.
• Prepare mockups/prototypes based on requirements and use knowledge of PowerPlatform features/tools to offer solutions that meet business needs.
• Troubleshoot PowerPlatform issues; document solutions, and work with system administrators and other IT resources to implement fixes.
• Function as a liaison between IT and the business units; serve as a point of contact for issue logging, tracking, and resolution.
• Assist customers in discerning between PowerApps/PowerAutomate and other technology offerings when gathering requirements; identify efficient solutions and recommend alternatives to meet business needs.
• Contribute in improving our processes and policies within the Business Enablement Services program.
• Other duties as assigned.
