This position will serve as a deployment analyst and vendor coordinator for the Texas Student Data System (TSDS). Key responsibilities include the outreach, engagement, and oversight of vendor integration with the upgrade of TSDS to Ed-Fi version 3.x. This individual will develop, implement, and monitor the strategic plan to assist software vendors during the pilot program (2021-2022) and parallel submission year (2022-2023) to standardize processes, identify best practices, and ultimately ensure vendor product readiness.
This position works under minimal management direction with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The work involves highly complex computer systems analysis work and the ability to plan and organize assignments effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:
Strategic Planning:
• Interpret and understand the data reporting requirements for assigned products of the Texas Student Data System (TSDS).
• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for ensuring vendor engagement and readiness for the TSDS upgrade to Ed-Fi 3.x.
• Provide effective oversight and reporting of the progress and milestones for each vendor.

Vendor Coordination:
• Coordinate the on-boarding of vendors into the pilot program based upon stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure technical documentation, guidance, and resources are made available to vendors.
• Schedule and facilitate monthly meetings with each vendor to monitor progress and solicit feedback for the project teams.

Vendor Support:
• Assist with integration and testing with vendors during the pilot and parallel submissions.
• Provide guidance and support for Local Education Agency partnerships for verification testing.
• Research and respond to identified vendor issues and challenges.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing efforts and implement strategies to ensure product and system readiness for vendors and TEA.

Communication:
• Assist with the development of vendor implementation resources and develop documentation based upon best practices and challenges experience throughout the pilot program.
• Communicate new and modified requirements and/or policies that impact vendor development and data reporting.
