3. Position Description and Job Skill Set
Description of the job functions the contractor will be expected to perform.
The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration’s Bureau of Building, Grounds, and Real Property
Management and State Property Insurance tracks the assets, attributes, and the insurance of each of the properties owned by the State. These properties include buildings, furniture, vehicles, and other related items. The attributes for each of these properties include location, responsible personnel, age, replacement cost, and additional information.
The existing environment used to manage this data and make it available for use consists of a .NET Framework 4.0.0 application (ASP.NET – VB.NET) running on Windows 2016 Server with IIS version 10.0.14393.0. The contractor is expected to upgrade the existing application to the latest .NET CORE version as well as make several changes to the database and function of the application to enhance functionality. Access is both internal to our agency, and externally by other state agencies. The web front end will be modernized as well to improve appearance as well as function.
