Position Justification:
The position is responsible for providing ongoing development, maintenance, and support of MDHHS Data Hub. To make improvements to a HESB (Health Enterprise Service Bus) which is a shared software application, to enhance existing functionalities of the system, maintain the system e.g.: – settings and configurations, issue resolution, administrative support. Oversee design and approval of network, hardware and software architecture required to support exchange, integration, sharing, and retrieval of electronic health information between multiple internal and external health systems, hospitals, and labs by using Rhapsody Integration Engine. The Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine (Rhapsody) acts as the Enterprise Service Bus and the core messaging service for Data Hub. It interconnects all the independent systems using various messaging technologies, including HL7 and web services. It also acts as the message broker and router, receiving messages from external sources to the internal SOM systems. Rhapsody is also used to transform and validate messages as they pass through the Data Hub. ‘Routes’ are created, and incoming messages are validated and interrogated to identify the intended destination or destinations before being sent through the Hub.

Position Summary:
• Participate in business requirements for HIE.
• Participate in Functional spec, HL7 Technical Spec, and design the interfaces on Rhapsody.
• Scoping the interface workflows by working with the functional teams and downstream recipients.
• Develop rules using JavaScript, and mappers.
• Monitoring and supporting DTMB projects using Rhapsody management console.
• Support Unit testing, System testing and Integration testing for all HIE Interfaces.
• Analyze and prepare Interface specifications for various use cases and Document them based on
requirements.
• Developer routes for various use Case.
• Create routes to receive different file formats and convert them to a format as per the recipients
requirements.
• Create route to convert FHIR JSON messages to regular JSON for projects.
• Configure CDN from Vital records to various downstream State recipients.
• Configure IHE profiles like provide and Register routes.
• Set up complex interface routes, Communication points, TCP/IP connections and configure custom
logic using Rhapsody to account for large amounts of interface traffic.
• Migrate Interfaces from lower environments to production.
• Create and update Test Scripts for HIE interfaces and resolve if any defects.
• Support maintenance and operations by debugging error queues and hold queues and find out the
actual root cause.
• Responsible for interface support, post Go Live to ensure interfaces are functioning as agreed upon.
