ABOUT THE ROLE – DAY TO DAY:
Dept of Behavoral Health is seeking an IT Purchasing Analyst to perform the below day to day responsibiities:
Draft procurement documents using the appropriate template/boilerplate located
Manage assigned procurement initiatives through the entire procurement life-cycle
Lead contracting activities
Handle communications with end users and vendors in a professional and timely manner.
Notifies and educates end users about deficiencies in requisitions and specifications in a manner that encourages a team effort in getting solicitations and paperwork processed correctly and in a timely fashion.
Research, informs and includes the end user in the selection process on all solicitations.
Experience within IT Procurement is essential for this role. Exp with Va state tools (like eVA) not required but helpful. Those with similar tools in their background will be considered first.
