Experience Requirements
1.Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience.
2.PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification, or equivalent.
3.Knowledge of election processes and systems preferred
4.Expert knowledge of principles and practices of electronic data and information management systems and procedures.
5.Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
6.Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology domain.
7.Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
8.Experience with successful implementation of IT systems for State and Local Governments.
Job/Project Description
An on-site Project Manager (PM) is being sought to perform project management tasks and activities for the Montana Secretary of State (SOS), Election & Voter Services Division’s ElectMT project. The goal of the ElectMT project is focused on completing the business design/requirements, configuring the application code, testing, data conversion, and conducting the user training necessary to replace the existing Statewide voter registration system with BPro’s ElectMT. ElectMT will deliver a unified voter registration and election management application integrated with numerous different election modules to manage and maintain elections and voters in the State of Montana. It will be replacing an existing Election Voter Registration system that was implemented in 2005.
Successful candidate will work closely with, and report to, the Elections and Voter Services Manager. The appointed elections Director will serve as the Project Executive. Work hours are projected at 40 hours per week or as necessary over the remainder of the project. The stated completion date for the ElectMT project is January 2023.
Objectives of this CEP:
1.Provide Project Management for the implementation of BPro’s Elect MT System for the Secretary of State office and county election officials.
2.Provide day-to-day project direction and coordination to the SOS project team.
3.Develop and maintain the project plan in coordination with vendor.
4.Resolve project planning and scheduling issues.
5.Manage ElectMT project challenges and keep project momentum.
6.Report to and take direction from project leadership.

Project Management
