REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
• 6+ years’ experience in SCEIS.
• 6+ years’ experience in SAP.
• 6+ years’ experience in government IT projects as a business analyst or related duties
• 6+ years’ experience in financial systems (AR, AP, payment reductions, general ledger postings and reporting, etc.)
• 6+ years claims payment and financial systems.
• 6+ years’ experience in cost center codes and fund codes.
• 6+ years Medicaid or healthcare experience.
• 6+ years Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and policies.
• Effective written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate to executive management, line management, project management, and team members.

PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
• General Subject Matter Expertise as it relates to Medicaid or other healthcare insurance experience (project or operations)
• Microsoft Office Suite

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The principal duties of this position are to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the agency’s financial accounting systems (SCEIS) and the claims processing system (MMIS).

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Participate in succession planning and knowledge transfer with agency financial staff to ensure all processes and procedures are documented and staff are trained.
• Primarily responsible for the maintenance and creation of new SAP master data within SCEIS to include but not limited to the following master data elements: agency funded programs, cost centers, functional areas, grants, sponsored programs, and program cost accounts (PCA’s).
• Knowledge of MMIS fund codes and the MMIS/SAP translation table master data elements.
• Ability to analyze and resolve any translation table errors that may occur during the weekly claims payment interface.
• Ability to research claim payments in MMIS to determine if fund codes are translating correctly in SCEIS.
• Assist with agency requests for SCEIS finance security roles.
• Participate in knowledge transfer on the agency’s quarterly indirect cost allocation process.
• Interacting with internal and external organizations (i.e. vendors, State and Federal government agencies, State providers and beneficiaries, and other stakeholders).
• Other project-related duties.
