Skills and Experience:

8+ years of Development/admin experience with ETL tools ODI and Talend
Strong Linux/Unix background and Advanced scripting knowledge e.g. python, ruby, java etc.
Shell and Bash scripting experience
Knowledge or experience with big data tool sets (Hadoop, Elastic Search, Splunk)
Advance knowledge of Integration tools and ETL server infrastructure and configuration
Advanced knowledge of data structures, and best practices for data warehousing, data marts, and data lakes
Experience with Tomcat, MQ Websphere, Oracle is a plus

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations
Work with Continuous Integration/Configuration Delivery platform and tools
Maintain configuration uptime to our Dev, UAT and Production environments
Provide internal support for our continuously evolving environment.
Evangelize Ops methodologies to internal Teams
Create and enforce ETL standards
Automation of maintenance and operations activities
Assist in the development of tools to support operational processes. Should be willing to support off hours.
Work closely with the other infrastructure teams such as Network, Database and Storage teams to deliver highly performing, scalable architectures
Mentoring others during code design, reviews and trouble shooting
Systematically troubleshoot difficult and/or complex application, system issues as they arise
On call rotation for weekend support

Job Description:

The EDA Operations team is primarily responsible for the smooth operation of ETL, BI and Big data systems and applications. We are looking to hire a Principal ETL administrator to provide application and system support for oracle ODI and Talend. The main role of the Principal ETL administrator is to investigate and diagnose issues with ETL systems, data, and processes as a part of production support team. This work includes researching the problem, identifying root cause, developing and executing workarounds and documenting the work. When appropriate, the Operations Technical Engineer will help to develop tools to facilitate implementation of workarounds. This includes working closely with Development and Architecture teams and internal customers.
