This Technical Specialist 4 will provide support to existing production applications and performs complex technical analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, deployment and implementation of changes, modifications, and enhancements of the department’s legacy mainframe applications. The UC Legacy Technical Specialist will become expertly familiar with the DLI UC Benefits applications as well as the systems software and the languages that support these applications. Technical skills include COBOL, Assembler, DB2, IMS, and other IBM Z/OS mainframe technologies (JCL, ISPF, TSO, etc.) and utilities in both the online and batch environments. This resource’s focus will be the technical support for the Assembler programs, IMS transactions and processing in the UC Benefit application inventory.
