Local/Remote TX Medicaid PM (PMP) with vendor management, MES, MMIS, MS Project/Visio, and Federal funding requests (APD) experience
Location: Austin TX (HHSC)
Duration: 5 months
Remote at start, but may need to be onsite at either NAC or the vendors’ location(s) during the project as necessary. No office space needed. Prefer candidates who are already local to Austin (NO OUT OF STATE).
Minimum Requirements:

The Worker(s) will report to the Director of Medicaid Modernization Projects and the Project Portfolio Manager, MMIS Transition Team, within Medicaid Modernization Technology, Medicaid CHIP Systems.
The Worker(s) will perform project management functions for the Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) from a program perspective, ensuring the Claims Administration, Business Operations, and Applications and Maintenance vendors work together for the successful implementation of the modernized Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). This position will oversee the sub-projects and provide a programmatic view of the overall health of the transition. The PMs will report to leadership and governance committees on status across the transition projects. The Program Managers will ensure HHSC IT, other program stakeholders and trading partners are aware of critical path dependencies (including those of related projects), integration points and oversee testing plans. These positions will work closely with all Medicaid / CHIP Program Areas, HHSC IT, the Program Portfolio Manager, the Director, vendors and other project related stakeholders.
This will be a key role in ensuring the success of the MES Modernization transition.
The Project Managers will be responsible for :
· Development and maintenance of integrated MES project timelines.
· In collaboration with HHSC IT, identification and definition of critical path dependencies between MES Modernization projects
· Communicating status, issues, and risks between Medicaid Program areas, IT, current MMIS vendor, data center services vendors, and selected MES service providers
· Communicating status of program initiatives to HHS leadership, including executive steering committees
