Roles and Responsibilities will include:
•Assit with developing and the design of solutions to existing and upcoming technical problems.
•Implementation and support of data center network solutions.
•Supporting the State of Michigan DTMB CTO Platform Support and Services manager and Data Center Infrastructure Services.
•Design / Architect solutions that support efficiencies with the State of Michigan Next Generation Digital Infrustructure (NGDI).
•Provide resolution of conflicts, connectivity and security issues.
•Performing security testing such vulnerability assessments or penetration tests to identify security misconfigurations or vulnerable software.
•Remediate security issues identified by vulnerability assessments or penetration tests.
•Monitor, upgrade, troubleshooting and maintenance for the network infrastructure.
•Provide resolution of configuration, connectivity and security issues.
•Develop and execute Requests for Change (RFC) within the agency as it relates to the NGDI environment.
•Design, implement and operate systems with adherance to industry compliance such as PCI, HIPAA, CJIS, and etc.
•Prepare information for presentations for various workgroups that involve NGDI.
•Mentor staff on tips, techniques and best practices to be utilized for the infrastructure environment.
•Perform related work as is deemed necessary by the supervisor.
•Inform management of issues and risks as they arise and statuses in a timely manner as they change.
•Participate in any DTMB or statewide IT initiatives.
