HHSC is currently working on a project to migrate ReHabWorks from Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and support it in-house. ReHabWorks is a custom business application used by HHSC to manage and maintain caseloads for the Rehabilitative and Independence Services programs within the Health, Developmental, and Independence Services (HDIS) organization. This system has multiple components and includes Informix Stored Procedures on a Unix file structure. The Informix Database Administrator will assist HHSC in migrating this application code, Informix procedures and the Informix database seamlessly into the HHSC controlled environment.
The Informix Database Administrator will perform the following services in support of the project:
•Define future state data management model with input from HHS business stakeholders.
•Support the development of integrated data models and artifacts identifying as-is, planned, and to-be mission data and supporting metadata.
•Employ data modeling tools and associated graphical methods to depict and analyze current and proposed conceptual, logical, and physical data schemas.
•Coordinate and approve corresponding database changes to support new and modified applications, and ensures new designs conform to data standards and guidelines, and are consistent, normalized, perform as required, and are secure from unauthorized access or update.
•Design and develop extract, transform and load (ETL) logic and code in support of data warehouse and analytics operations and maintains related data pipelines.
•Designs and develops data mapping and transformation scripts to support data warehouse development and data analytics efforts.
•Assist developers and application support team members.
