Hybrid Project Manager (PMP) with MS Project, QA, BA, and Child Welfare/government experience
Location: Jackson, MS MDCPS
Duration: 12 Months 20hrs/week
Onsite with some remote. Do NOT submit candidates that only want remote.
PMP Certification required
Hybrid Must be willing to come onsite as needed. I have confirmed with the agency that f/t remote is NOT an option.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE # YEARS
Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written) requirements with stakeholders as well as

Must be able to collaborate with Senior Management and other Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, QA
Team, and developers to ensure requirements are communicated, accepted, and meet expectations 7
Knowledge of PMI standards and Processes, and success in managing IT projects 7
Use of project management and work management tools such MS Project, Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, &
PowerPoint7
Experience with Information Technology Project Management 7
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project
Management Institute (PMI)7
Must be familiar with software and database development concepts to include test cases, quality assurance, creation
of diagrams, flowcharts and workflows of business processes and data flow7
Must be able to translate and simplify requirements from stakeholders into written requirement documents for
development team.7
Provide hands-on project management of enterprise-wide projects including all phases of project life cycle and/or
software development life cycle as well as support a project management team7
Strong experience in mapping business processes into technical documentation 7
Strong experience in developing Business Cases, Benefit Analysis, and identifying Risks 7
Preference given to candidates with the below skills/experience. Must also meet minimum requirements.
Experience in Child Welfare and Workflows
Experience with federal requirements for Child Welfare Management Systems
Experience with implementing and managing large applications projects with the State of Mississippi
Experience with State, Local, Tribal, & Territorial projects
JOB DESCRIPTION :
This position is part-time (20 hours weekly) and requires an individual to assist in
project management tasks for implementing a new CCWIS Cloud-Based hosted solution.
This individual will also provide project management services to the CIO and the agency
executive staff on other projects when required.
This position will require a qualified Project Manager to take the lead in the following tasks:
Manage IT Projects to include defining projects, tracking progress and status reporting
Maintain Project Managements Standards
Utilize a comprehensive project repository to improve the ability to estimate resources
for future IT projects
Requirements Management: gathering, analysis, organization, and reporting
Project Documentation
Coordinate activities across different organizational functions
Support and assist the PMO Team, and increase overall capacity of PMO Team
REQUIRED DEGREE Bachelor’s degree
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(S) PMP
