Job Description:
Seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Programmer Analyst 4 for the City of Richmond DIT Utilities team. Will be responsible for providing web-based solutions and support to existing applications. The candidate will also possess skills in requirements gathering, application design, software development, documentation, and customer service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Application integration as a core function of systems development to include experience and knowledge of designing, developing, and supporting applications using the following technologies:
1. Oracle database (11g and above)
2. PL-SQL
3. Unix Shell Scripting
• Documenting work to be performed. (i.e. – requirements gathering, design/analysis, technical specifications, code, implementation, and support).
• Developing and executing database queries to generate reports and aid in data analysis.
• Learning different technologies, both currently in use and new.
• Working directly with programming staff and users to analyze and develop innovative applications for improving business operations within various City of Richmond departments. This may also involve learning different technologies – both currently in use and new.
