Hybrid/Local Infrastructure PM (PMP) with agile/Scrum, portfolio management, change management experience
Location: St. Paul, MN DPS
Duration: 12 months
This position is hybrid, meaning the work is expected to be done remotely and must be available to work 2-days on-site. The on-site work location is 1430 Maryland Ave E, St Paul, MN 55106.
Minimum Qualifications :
•Five (5) years of experience performing project management functions
•Three (3) years of experience managing projects using agile development methods
•Three (3) years of experience with portfolio management
Desired Skills :
•Ability to ensure quality and consistency across multiple projects in the use of project planning, scheduling, scope, and risk management, status reporting, change control, issues resolution and other project management controls and practices.
•Project management experience across varying technologies, spanning the complete spectrum of IT systems, solutions, and processes to support, and enhance foundation infrastructure, services, systems, and enterprise software applications
•Performed project management functions for IT software development and infrastructure projects in excess of $1 million
•Professional coaching, facilitation, and mentoring experience.
•Knowledge of the Project Management industry best practices for service/systems creation and development and generally accepted standards outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK)
•Ability to work with a diverse team, resolve interpersonal conflict, motivate and develop team members, and influence stakeholders and key decision-makers.
The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT) partnering with Department of Public Safety- Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is seeking a full-time project manager resource to provide project management services to the BCA.
At a high level, the resource will work with product development and support teams as well as with the infrastructure and operations team on a number of security, compliance, and infrastructure projects. This position will regularly advise and work with MNJIS leadership to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget. As MINJIS is adopting Agile practices (Scrum with development teams and Kanban within the infrastructure team), the project manager must be able to plan, manage, and execute projects within these frameworks to iteratively deliver results. Additionally, the project manager will assess current enterprise planning and Agile delivery practices, identify needs and gaps, conduct forecasting, and assist product owners in prioritizing and creating roadmaps.
