Hybrid/Local Data Architect with Data Modernization, data lakes/warehouse, visualization, catalogs and PHIG experience

Required Skills/Experience
Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These
requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will
NOT be presented to the manager for consideration.
Experience participating in all day-to-day aspects (planning, organizing, budgeting, etc.) of multi-faceted data
management and/or modernization projects
– Assisting with the collection, cataloging and leveraging of large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to
enable more accessible utilization and analysis of that data using data lakes, warehouses, catalogs, etc.
– Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers involved in the collection, management and development of agency
data resources in order to advance the agency’s data modernization goals
– Experience working under data and IT security national standards applicable to the management and security of
protected health information
– Working knowledge of data management, visualization and analysis tools used to organize, leverage and share
multiple forms of data
– Experience working with multiple types of vendors of modern data management and analysis software, systems, and
applications

Preferred/Not Required
Provide any skills/experience that would be helpful for the candidate to possess but not required. Examples: Previous supervisory
experience, WebLogic experience helpful, etc.
Governmental data modernization or project management experience

Position Description and Job Skill Set
Description of the job functions the contractor will be expected to perform.
Provide general support to the agency in its projects funded under the CDC Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG),
specifically under Strategy A3: Data Modernization. Projects include:
– Cataloging and organization of agency data resources with the ultimate goal of creating a public facing agency-wide
data catalog,
– Assisting with the selection and implementation of an updated process for managing external requests for data and
public records
– Supporting the creation and implementation of project timelines
– Consistent and effective communication with agency staff supporting the projects, and maintaining focus on project
goals and meeting deadlines
– Assist with the collecting, organizing and leveraging large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to enable
more accessible utilization and analysis of the data using data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, catalogs, etc.
