REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
– Ability to communicate and gather technical requirements from customers.
– Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff, users, management, vendors and other officials
– Ability to clearly document processes and procedures for knowledge transfer to other staff
– Working knowledge for administering print queues on a Windows Print Server
– Working knowledge for troubleshooting complex issues with Windows 10 including Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Apps including Teams and OneDrive
– Working knowledge for managing file permissions on network drives using Active Directory groups and troubleshooting issues related to network drive mapping and permissions
– Working knowledge for migrating large amounts (>100TB, >2000users) of network drive data to OneDrive and Teams sites
– Working knowledge using Microsoft Intune to deploy secure configurations including Defender for Endpoint settings
– Working knowledge for using Intune to configure iOS-based mobile devices
– Working knowledge for securely configuring printers based on industry standards and benchmarks
– Working knowledge for administering virtual desktops on VMware Horizon View and VMware vCenter
– Working knowledge of Windows Server OS

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and 5+ experience in Information Technology or related area. Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
CJIS Certification will be a requirement of employment, this training is provided by the State of SC after a successful background check is completed.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
Under limited supervision, the employee performs service enhancement tasks for endpoint solutions based on guidance from vendors and the endpoint eng
ineering team. Employee conducts software upgrades and installs new and enhanced software within the environments. Employee must be able to research and recommend upgrades and enhancements of endpoint related solutions. Employee must consult with vendors on configuration changes and troubleshoot both customer and Department of Technology endpoint related issues. Employee will work with Department of Technology customers to provide training on endpoint related solutions. Employee must follow all established procedures including Change Management. Employee must maintain good relations with agency management and officials, vendors, and users.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Monitors Service-Now for help desk tickets pertaining to the Managed Workstations Services and addresses them as needed. Escalates tickets to other teams or vendors as appropriate.
– Assists with service enhancement projects in conjunction with project managers, endpoint engineers, other technical teams, and vendors
– Serves as technical lead on endpoint related projects
– Documents procedures for other team members and technical teams
