The Business Intelligence Developer/Data Analyst will work collaboratively with business users to perform healthcare data analysis to provide answers to complex operational challenges.
The North Carolina State Health Plan (Plan) offers medical and pharmacy benefits for more than 700,000 teachers, state employees, retirees and dependents.
The Plan is seeking a business intelligence developer with deep experience in SQL and SAS coupled with significant expertise with health benefits management, healthcare data, and health insurance financials.
The role is to gather business requirements, identify data needs and delivery mechanisms; perform data discovery and data mining across large healthcare datasets, including eligibility, medical and pharmacy claims, provider, and financial data; develop BI content (reports, dashboards, scorecards, analytic solutions); and present analytically complex results that are easily understand.
Minimum:
• 5+ years’ experience data analysis using healthcare claims, eligibility & enrollment, medical provider, and/ or financial data. Ideally in an insurance setting.
• 5+ years’ experience using SAS EG and Visual Analytics tools to develop reports and dashboards
• 5+ years’ experience using base and advanced SQL to extract and manipulate data
