The Program Manager is required to help manage the implementation of an Information Technology and Data Services modernization program. The Program Manager must work closely with the program areas and IT project team, including the vendor, to ensure program success. The agency may or may not extend the engagement with the Program Manager to include future phases of implementation.
Duties:
· Monitor and manage program quality and cost to ensure the program delivers stated benefits and is completed within budget.
· Identify potential program risks and issues and design strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
· Compile and distribute program information and status reports.
· Develop and evaluate program using accepted program management methodologies.
· Coordinate program activities with other IT divisions, program areas, or vendors.
· Create documentation procedures to capture and manage program dependencies and changes.
· Recommends corrective action when necessary.
· Other program related activities as assigned.
