1. My529’s intent for this potion is Project right to hire. After 960 hours worked, My529 would like to exercise the option of making a permanent hire. As such please ensure you candidate is interested in a right to hire opportunity and the compensation you provide your candidate is less than the My529 compensation package. (110K per year with full benefits) My529’s compensation should be an increase vs project compensation.

Overview:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team as we continually develop and evolve our DevOps pipeline.
Our objective is to maximize automation of cloud and on-prem environment provisioning and the build and deployment of our applications. We are in a pilot phase of using AWS, containers, and Kubernetes for orchestration.
We use Jenkins and Octopus for build and deployment functions and GitLab CI in order to bolster our pipeline. With a focus on "shifting left" and strengthening the security portion of DevSecOps, we want to integrate a few tools that the dev and IS teams manually use.
Successful candidates should have experience in the following:
• Experience in release management and DevOps including build, release, and software configuration management
• Performed DevOps functions related to back-end .NET application architecture
• Performed DevOps functions related to React web application architecture and REST APIs
• Implemented and supported build and deployment tools, ideally Jenkins, Octopus and GitLab
• Used GIT for repository management
• Solid understanding of software branching concepts
• Configuration and deployment to AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
• Understanding of container and orchestration management
• Worked with a security team in implementing and following DevSecOps practices
• Advanced Bash or PowerShell scripting experience
• Advanced YAML or JSON knowledge
• Experience with Cluster health and security monitoring
• Understanding of hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with systems administration in Linux and/or Windows environments is a bonus
• Experience with C# and JavaScript is a bonus
Responsibilities include
• Drives DevOps strategy to automate tasks, define standards, tool selection, and implement best practice methodology
• Develops/Implements scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various internal platforms (CI and CD tools)
• Partners with PM/BA on release management including the scheduling, coordinating, and deployment of releases
• Collaborates with DBA on automating script deployment as part of an overall release package
• Leads the design and implementation of pipelines to automate software delivery from development to production
• Works with QA automation engineers, developers, and the security team to integrate testing tools into the pipeline
• Incorporates DevOps activities within an Agile environment
