NC DHHS seeks a Catalyst Technology Engineer to work on multiple projects.
The Technical Specialist is a senior-level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in a specific technology. The Technical Specialist has an overall knowledge and understanding of application development and architecture that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program. Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty. Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high-quality services/ products. Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product. Delivers support and design for industry specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications. Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts. May function as a niche technical SME. Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter. Proven experience with a technical specialty across large and complex implementations and systems.
The Catalyst Engineer is responsible for partnering with key data stakeholders, IT leadership, project managers and architecture leads around the development, management, performance, and optimization of cloud-based solutions. The position will identify resource requirements, develop customized solutions, and support platforms within the State cloud environments.
Initial focus and priorities will include work building and supporting our VREF, BIDP, RPA, and MPI environments.
Job Responsibilities :
•Develop customized solutions within the States cloud environments, currently AWS, Azure, and GCP to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, or organizational goals
•Manage daily support and maintenance of identified solutions, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure continued alignment with requirements
•Communicate with stakeholders to ensure cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
•Promote CI/CD best practices around State cloud-based technologies
•Interact directly with clients, managers and end users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications and interactions with enterprise solutions.
•Provide system administration support of State cloud environments, including customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflows
•Collaborate with various stakeholder to ensure cloud environments support needs relating to functionality and performance, and operate optimally
•Collaborate with various stakeholders around the promotion, adoption, and implementation of orchestrated and automated cloud-based technologies
