Data warehouse architect will help modernize DIR’s data warehouse infrastructure by assessing the current data warehouse environment, understanding DIR’s agency wide data needs and architect a new data warehouse for the use of the entire agency. The design should include optimizing performance and ease of use for end users, enhancing functionality, decreasing total cost of ownership while making it possible for real-time decision making. Role will include data profiling, data standardization, data acquisition, data transformation, and integration best practices along with policies to maintain and support data integrity and security.
The agency’s current data warehouse is using an Oracle Supercluster. The agency uses both Oracle and SQL databases to support our applications and reporting needs. The Oracle Supercluster will be replaced by either Oracle Exadata or Fractional servers to be determined.
The data warehouse architect will focus on designing a solution and recommending a database strategy to be procured through the DIR Master Contracts and consult during the development and implementation phase.
