Minimally Required Deliverables/Tasks
1) Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of operating systems software;
2) Evaluate vendor supplied software packages and makes recommendations to IT management;
3) Manages Oracle and MS SQL server environments;
4) Analyze system logs, identify potential issues with production application and able to handle war room situation;
5) Provide senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the overall systems architecture;
6) Develop and execute test plans to check technical performance of infrastructure, report findings and make recommendations for improvements;
7) Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications;
8) Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs vs. benefits and impact on processes and goals;
9) Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards;
10) Assists in the development of and manages an architecture governance;
11) Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate;
12) Track industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise’s architecture needs.
Staff Qualifications and Performance Criteria
1) Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience;
2) 7 to 10 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing systems planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software) and optimization;
3) Proven experience developing strategic system architecture plans;
4) Extensive experience in system and network creation and development;
5) Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices;
6) Proven experience identifying, analyzing and resolving system problems.
7) Experience with Reemployment Assistance (RA) Claims & Benefits system (CONNECT), uFACTS, or similar Unemployment Compensation (UC) system.
