(CANCELLED) Desktop Support Technician with Windows 10 migration, imaging, MS Office, peripherals installation and hardware component replacement experience

The onsite consultants must have a minimum of two (2) years of Tech Support experience and be able to perform the following on HP Desktops and also Fujitsu and Microsoft Laptops:
• Must be able to replace and rebuild hardware components as needed to make sure they meet Win10 Minimum specifications. They will need to be able to install peripherals and associated firmware as needed.
• Must be able to perform the following methods of upgrading to Win10 OS:
o In-place upgrade, in which you upgrade directly from “within” Windows 7 to Windows 10.
o Wipe and reload, where you re-image the existing computer with or without transferring data.
o Replace, where you replace the computer, applying a fresh image to a new computer with or without transferring data
In addition to the above, qualified consultants must have two (2) years’ experience working with Enterprise applications such as Microsoft Office, including Outlook. The consultants will need to work with SBUH end users to make sure these applications work post upgrade. This may include the transfer of files.
Attend internal meetings and provide updates and feedback related to these services.
Flexibility in scheduling is required. On a whole, the onsite hours will be 7.5 hours per day, 8:30 am to 5 pm (1 hour lunch), Monday-Friday. There will also be a need for after hours (up to 10 pm and on certain weekends). The onsite consultants must be willing to alter their schedules in order to accommodate SBUH’s needs. SBUH will provide no less than seven (7) business days’ notice of its intention to alter the consultant’s schedule. SBUH will not pay overtime for any hours scheduled after 5pm or on the weekends. The onsite consultant schedules would be adjusted in order to accommodate the proper number of hours per week, which is 37.5.
Any onsite consultant must be up to date on all required immunizations in accordance with SBUH’s policy.
Stony Brook University Hospital (SBUH) currently utilizes desktops and laptops that run on the Microsoft operating system. We have over 7,700 Microsoft Win7 machine currently on the network, which will need to be upgraded to Win10. The consultants requested for this project would be joining a team that is in place working to upgrade these desktops and laptops to Win10 due to the Microsoft announcement that support for Win7 has ended effective as of January 20,
2020. This project will take place across all clinical and non-clinical areas, which includes the Hospital, Health Sciences Center (HSC), Ambulatory Care Pavilion (ACP), SBUH Children’s Hospital, SBUH Cancer Center, and all Stony Brook University Hospital Ambulatory locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
