PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The client has an immediate need for a Business Analyst to assist the Division of Data, Technology, and District Operations with gathering business requirements around developing a statewide technology plan for schools and districts. The plan must address, at a minimum, infrastructure and connectivity needs, online testing requirements, equipment, educational technology, digital literacy and a statewide learning management system to connect teachers and students. The plan must consider the need for some districts to utilize a regional approach to services that may include, but is not limited to, purchasing, training and support services. This plan, including cost projections, shall be presented to the Governor, the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, and the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee by February 1, 2020.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are primary activities which the Business Analyst will be expected to perform.
•Interviewing the stakeholders to identify their requirements and challenges;
•Learning about the current state of technology throughout the state and its importance to the students of South Carolina;
•Researching other states and what they are doing;
•Pull information about costs;
•Report project progress weekly to Director, Project and Application Management.
