*** Role will be 20% onsite to work with devices / teams and some specific meetings for hardware deployment. May increase during short periods where large deployments occur.

The Office of Information Technology at Norfolk State University has need for an Apple end point engineer. This is a system administration role that will work to ensure University endpoints are provisioned with the University approved baseline configuration and kept up to date with patches from the OS, and third party software vendors. The Engineer will also design new solutions based on the requirements from stakeholders from different areas (Academic, Operations, Security etc).

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Using Configuration Management tools to manage Apple based endpoints configuration and patch management (JAMF).
-Accept escalations from Client Services for Apple device issues that require an MDM configuration change.
-Write and publish documentation for an internal IT audience encompassing processes and procedures related to interfacing with the MDM solution (JAMF Pro).
-Administering and updating Configuration Management tools to ensure they are patched and interoperable with newer technologies.
-Designing and planning new systems for Configuration Management
-Implementing new systems for Configuration Management
-Build and maintain endpoint baseline configurations to deploy to new endpoints
-Reporting on endpoint status, patch management, compliance, and other requested items.
-Package applications to be delivered to endpoints either automatically or through self-service portals.

Minimum Qualifications
