Agile Coach/Scrum Master with epics/stories burn downs/burn-ups, story points experience

Location: Tallahassee FL (FDEO)
Duration:12 months

Required Qualifications & Skills:

1) Serve as the Scrum Master related to the services .
2) Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, removing
impediments as needed, stand-ups, stakeholder meetings, etc.);
3) Coach Agile/Scrum practices and ensure correct use of Scrum process;
4) Train teams to self-manage and self-organize;
5) Ensure the team works closely with product owner on backlog refinement for
backlog priority;
6) Resolve impediments in a timely manner;
7) Resolve team conflicts and shielding the team from distractions;
8) Identify cross–team dependencies;
9) Coordinate and assist the team to create clear and concise epics/stories and
sizing/tasking;
10) Monitor, track, and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress;
11) Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization;
12) Coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and
comfortable for the team and organization;
13) Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution;
14) Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and
radiate information to ensure that a team’s progress and successes are highly
visible to all stakeholders;
15) Support and educate the Product Owners, especially with respect to refining and
managing the product backlog;
16) Manage Scrum task board for teams;
17) Manage Scrum artifacts, including burn downs and burn-ups;
18) Ensure story points are effectively managed and measured; and
19) Attend Agile planning sessions with Agile program teams and assisting delivery
team with estimating and accepting stories.

General Characteristics
Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements
that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business
and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life
cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications
software that is delivered on time and within budget. Makes recommendations towards the development of
new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data
architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. Has
experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and
integration methodologies.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work
experience.
Experience:
Typically has 2 to 5 years of programming/systems analysis experience.
